The Heavenly

Brother Peter wants to marry and because he has been told the importance of God's will in marriage, he starts bombarding the gates of heaven with prayers asking for voices and signs. For Sis Therisa, immediately the choirmaster told her his intention, she responded to him that she needs to pray about it, and then she starts a marathon prayer asking God to do this or that if it's God's will. So people who have never practiced walking in God's will, all of a sudden start giving God timelines and conditions to prove his will.

I believe there is nothing as wonderful as aligning to God's will, plan, and purpose. Not just in a certain area of your life but in all areas. It is the most beautiful life you can actually live - the life that is experienced on earth as heaven would want it. That is what I call, 'The Heavenly'. God told Moses, 'See that you make them according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.' (Exodus 25:40). It was very important to God that Moses executes his project according to the design of heaven. We are only at our best when our activity here on earth aligns correctly with God's perfect design for our lives.

Whenever we limit the importance of God's will to finding a spouse or having a good marriage, we miss out on the very beauty of God's will. And whenever we think God's will only matter in certain areas of our life, we make light of the Lordship of Christ in our life. God is not our errand boy. He is the Master. He wants His will to prevail in all spheres of our life. He wants us to live our life on earth as heaven would want it. He wants our life to be constantly aligned to the divine arrangement. If there is anything called heaven on earth, this is exactly what it is.

In Jesus' famous prayer pattern, he instructed his disciples to pray: 'Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.' ( Matthew 6:10) Each time I read or think about this statement, I'm moved to pray: 'May your will be done in my life as it is in heaven'. What a beauty to experience each day, and each stage of your life exactly as heaven would want you to. Living heaven's life on earth. That is exactly how Jesus lived. Everything that happened to him was based on heaven's plan and purpose. He was never out of sync with heaven's design. He said: 'I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.' (John 8:28)

God's desire is for his will to permeate all areas of your life. Don't limit walking in God's will to only those things you deem critical. Practice living the totality of your life as heaven desires you to live. Don't settle for just the good or the acceptable. Come up hither. Step up to submitting and living in His very perfect will. 'And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.' ( Romans 12:2). Let your life, everything about you, be the outflow of his will. What a beauty your life will exude! And it begins with making him the Lord of your life and acknowledging his Lordship in everything you do.

Finally, don't ever think you will wake up one day and demand that God show you his will when you have never practiced walking his will. When your heart aligns with him and your steps are in sync, you may never need to bombard the gate of heaven for the revelation of his will. You will just walk in it so naturally. Start today to develop to learn how he leads his own. Don't just move because people are moving, develop a deep consciousness of God's leading. Learn to recognize God in every decision - big or small. Be conscious of the Holy Spirit in you. Don't just live on earth like every other person, manifest his beauty and purpose in your life. Make manifest the will of the father. Start on time to practice working and being led by the Lord. I encourage you to pray today, 'May your will be done in all areas of my life as it is in heaven.'
