She Used To Sing In Casor

Let me tell you a little about her.
She used to sing in CASOR and each time she ministers, it was usually awesome. She feels good for a few hours and terrible for the rest of the day. She loves the lord and yet feels terrible about herself because society has labeled her as a failure and when she analyzes a few things about herself she tends to believe deep within her that she was really a failure.

So when she graduated it was a mixed feeling. She was afraid the course of study, the final grade, and other areas of supposed failures may not make it any easier for her to get a job. So she was already defeated within, leaving the school environment feeling like a victim. She wished the label would have been first-class or second-class upper, she wished she could do this or that.

This sister forgot all she could actually do because they are not one of those things the society uses to measure success/greatness. She could sing, she could love, she is sincere, she is honest, she could cook very well, she could care for others, she could communicate well, she can do different things'¦ but she feels 'who these things help'.

The scripture admonishes us not to conform to this world. And Paul told Timothy not to allow any man to despise him because he was young. Refuse to accept that sense of limitation and failure. You're good for something, and it does not matter what your parents, teacher, lecturer, or anybody think about you. Most times we fail in life, not because of the seeming factors but because we accept that those factors can and have limited us. Those things do not make us failures, our belief does.

Once you entertain fear, you are doing yourself big harm. Do your best, look beyond the societal idea of a successful path. Look within, trust God, change the narratives, prove society wrong. Forget about the things you cannot do, believe in the things you could do. If it is difficult to enter the company through the recruitment door, remember you could actually buy the company.

Never despise yourself, never measure your worth based on your result. Be the best of the things you can do, magnify your office. That you could sing and people are touched is enough to tell you that you're blessed. That you could teach and people listen, means you're good enough. That you could cook and people lick your fingers means you have something to offer. Break out of the mold, show the world you're blessed because you're. Some of the things that were looked down on in the past are the pursuit of many today. Refuse to conform!

This is not about any sister in CASOR, this is about someone who feels terrible about oneself, someone who is afraid of the future, someone who is losing faith. Just to tell him or her that he/she has what it takes.
